Compelled by his compassionate wisdom, the Buddha taught that the root of all of our dissatisfaction and difficulties is our ignorance of how things actually exist. Meditation on emptiness can overcome this misconception and thus is crucial for the attainment of complete enlightenment. In this two-part course we first explore how to cultivate the meditative concentration to support a deeper understanding of emptiness and then examine the different analytical techniques that are essential for developing this wisdom.
